About Us
We are the Isbells — Jonathan & Mary. We started The Charming South in 2021 when the world began to open back up after COVID. What started as a single football-season rental in Auburn has grown into 8 beautifully maintained properties.
After 3 years of hosting hundreds of guests and maintaining a 5-star rating on both Airbnb and VRBO, we decided it was time to offer direct booking — so you can save money and we can provide an even better experience.
Our properties are private, quiet, and peaceful — only minutes from downtown Auburn, Lake Martin, Lake Harding, Auburn University, TigerTown, Downtown Opelika, and more.
